The impression of a letterpress card…

A while ago, I wrote a post about my earlier reluctance to focus on a line of greeting cards for Ruff House Art. I want Ruff House Art to be known as a superbly creative line of home and office products first with greeting cards contained within that category. Rather than a greeting card company that sells other things. However, after months of hard work, back and forth and hours listing to the hum of the letterpress, our line of letterpress greeting cards is fully available and let me tell you, they are gorgeous. What was I thinking?! Of course we have to sell greeting cards! How can we call ourselves a letterpress studio if we don’t offer the foundation of any stationery business?

After speaking with and later solidifying a partnership with two amazing sales rep companies (more to come on this in a later post…), it was apparent that the greeting card line was essential to the growth and success of Ruff House Art. With that being said, I stand firm on vowing to focus my time and energy equally among all our product lines and not place one above the other. So yes mini enclosure card, you are just as marvelous to me as a wall clock!

If you have never purchased or received a beautiful letterpress greeting card, you are missing out! Just one run of your fingers across the soft fluffy cotton paper, feeling the impression of each hand printed indention and you will be in love. Soft paper, vibrant inks and a gorgeous impression is unmatched by any modern printing technique. So support the men and women who stand behind a 3,000 lb hunk of cast iron, better known as a letterpress, on a daily basis and buy handmade. Buy letterpress.
